Is the background music included in the sound packs?

Background music is for previews only and is not included in the sound packs.

 

Can I request a refund for recent purchases?

Digital purchases cannot be returned. Therefore we cannot provide a refund. Refunds are only available in exceptional scenarios, such as your Paypal account was illegally charged (fraud).

 

In which formats are your products available?

Our products are available as a digital download only. We don't offer physical shipping of any products.

 

What format are the sounds?

All the sounds ship as wave files (.wav) with a resolution of a minimum of 24bits/96KHz up to 24Bits/192KHz. The exact resolution is written in the specs of each library.

As for the channels, we deliver mono or stereo depending on the product and its options. The details are visible on each product page.

 

What currency are the prices shown in?

All Rescopic Sound products are shown in dollars US.

 

What about metadata?

All our files are embedding metadata of these types: BaseHead (iXML, bext, ID3) / BWAV.

All our libraries are UCS-compliant too (learn more about UCS here).
We aim to fill in as much information as possible and accurately within the files. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you feel metadata is not rightly entered. We always strive to improve our libraries.

The software we use is BaseHead Ultra Edition, and we meticulously burn in our metadata to be fully compatible with Soundminer and Soundly.

Additionally, we add a file list to each of our libraries (in pdf, txt & csv format) so you can import it into your preferred audio management app.

 

Do you have a special deal or discount for me?

From time to time, we run special sale events. For example, during Halloween and summer, but these are rare.

Each new library launch has its own introductory sale that runs from 48 hours to 9 days.

Do you offer educational discounts?

To support motivated students or lecturers in the field of sound design, we offer a special price with 40% educational discount for all our products except those on sale.
To process your request, we need the following information:

  • Name of the product(s) you are interested in.
  • Name of your educational institution.
  • Proof of your current status as a student or lecturer (e.g., a copy of your student card, enrollment letter or a link to your student/lecturer profile).

Do you offer free sounds?

Yes, we do! All of our sound fx collections come with a free version to get a better look at what it's like.
We always give the 4% or so of the total sound effects library. You will find the download link at the bottom of every product page.

 

Can I use my purchase on multiple machines?

Sure! But if more than three users per workstation are using the library, a multi-user license is required. Please get in touch with us for more details.

 

Do you store my credit card information?

Nope, we wouldn't do it anyway, and we cannot store your credit card info because we can never access it. All purchases are made through Paypal's secure payment gateway.

 

I haven't received any email after the purchase, why?

if you have not received an email :

  • Maybe the email has landed in your spam. Take a look inside your spam folder.
  • Maybe the order is still on hold while the payment is being processed. Wait a few minutes.
  • Maybe the payment has been rejected. In this case, you should have received a Paypal notice that your payment has been rejected. Verify if all your payment information is correct and try the order again.
  • In any case, you can contact us and we will find a solution as soon as possible.

 

How do I extract the files I downloaded?

All the files provided by Rescopic Sound are packed within .zip files.

To extract the files from the archive, you need to unzip them.

For this purpose, it exists a lot of software. We recommend using 7zip (on Windows) and The Unarchiver (on Mac).
